Reusable transport systems can be found in production logistics and goods handling as well as in the standardized supply of retailers by the consumer goods industry. Containers, crates, bottles, load carriers, pallets, lattice boxes and roller containers are used. They all have to be provided in good time and in good condition.
For cost reasons, their number in the cycle must be kept low, but they must also not be too low to avoid disruptions in the supply chain. An efficient organisation must therefore ensure transparency of stocks, detection of the causes of misuse and shrinkage, maintenance and timely provision.
