This device is a compact, rugged GPS tracker designed for tracking containers, trailers, skips and other objects that require extremely long battery life without sacrificing frequency of updates and performance.
The IP67-rated housing is rugged and UV-stable, so it can be mounted on equipment that is exposed to rain, dust and marine conditions.
By using the latest technology, the device can be operated in extremely low power modes and with an incredible battery life of up to 5 years. It can be connected to equipment and tracked without the need to change batteries. The tracker has built-in antennas for GPS reception and LoRaWAN communication, a 3D accelerometer, a high performance GPS that can track both GPS and GLONASS satellites simultaneously, and flash memory for storing non-volatile information.
Operation with 3 x AA 1.5V standard lithium batteries.
Dimensions | 115 mm x 65 mm x 20 mm (without mounting rails) |
Batteries | 3 x "AA" size 1.5V alkaline or lithium batteries |
Idle state | 10uA (microampere) |
Battery life with adaptive tracking | The tracker can be set to use Adaptive Tracking Technology, which uses accelerometer and GPS data to intelligently determine if it is moving to send frequent updates or to reduce the update rate to once a day when the device is idle - to preserve battery life.
Up to 5 years in one place per day (at 25°C) |
Operating temperature | -20°C to +60°C |
High sensitivity GPS |
|
Configuration | The most common configuration parameters can be updated via LoRaWAN downlink messages. An additional USB configuration adapter and cable (not included) allows uploading firmware updates and configuration information to the device. |
